Alpha waves are the meditative state you want, so listen to those ones. Binaural beats work in that they help quit-en the mind. Namaste brother, sorry to hear about your PTSD disorder. With binaural beats or nothing, I can sometimes.ĭo binaural beats help or hinder meditation? Is using nothing better than using beats? How do I get past this mental wall that I seem to hit at 30 minutes? It seems with chanting or with guided meditations, I can't get very deep. I have tried chanting meditations and guided meditations. I'm wondering if the binaural beats are a hindrance or a help so far, I generally notice that it helps me, though I go without the beats sometimes too, just to try to see if there is a difference. Lately, I descend into deeper and deeper levels - until a certain point. If anything, I get some kind of kick-back dissociation that is even more intense and severe, that kicks in immediately after meditation, and lasts for several hours. I have past trauma/PTSD, and I dissociate badly. Meditation has not been helping with my concentration/focus. I cannot meditate right before sleep, as then I cannot sleep. I meditate for 30-35 minutes in one go each day. There seems to be a deepness that I cannot ascend past. I've been meditating for several months, and recently I feel like I have hit a wall.
